Work has begun on the construction of the paediatric pavilion at the “Near Me” hospital, an initiative that is being realised thanks to the generous contribution of Fondazione Prosolidar and other donors.
The new facility, which aims to strengthen children's health, will be built next to the CREN (Centre for Rehabilitation and Nutritional Education) and will be a reference point for the entire health district, which has about 44,000 children.
A key initiative that will ensure specialised paediatric services in an area where they are currently not available. Imagine: the nearest hospital centre is a good 50 km away! A huge journey that, combined with the scarcity of means of transport and the absence of ambulances, leads to debilitating and sometimes fatal consequences for children in need of early care.
Once established, paediatrics will provide diagnosis and treatment services for malnutrition and related diseases, helping to ensure healthy and harmonious growth for infants and children.
This project represents a decisive step towards the right of every child to receive the care he needs.

FONDAZIONE PROSOLIDAR ENTE FILANTROPICO ETS is an organization established within the credit sector for the realization, in Italy and abroad, of solidarity and socially relevant projects, promoting social justice, inclusion and sustainable development.
It includes, on an equal footing, all the trade union organizations of workers in the same sector (through their national secretariats) as well as, for employers, the Italian Banking Association and all the companies that are members of the Association. It is the first and, to this day, the only experience, also at international level, of a body created by the parties in a national collective labour agreement and financed through "match-gifting", that is, sharing the contribution on an equal basis between workers and companies.
