October 16 marks World Food Day, commemorating the founding of the FAO – the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. This day aims to raise public awareness about global hunger, promote economic and technical cooperation among developing countries, and encourage the active participation of rural communities in decision-making processes and initiatives that affect their livelihoods.
The theme chosen for 2023 is: “Water is life, water is food. Leave no one behind.”
In recognition of this important day in the global fight against hunger, NutriAid has chosen to embrace and share the FAO’s message. In collaboration with its partners in the Somwata project, NutriAid will take part in various events aimed at promoting healthy eating habits and sustainable lifestyles, with full respect for the environment and marine ecosystems.
Every day, with children, against hunger.
