The installation of the cold storage unit and the solar panels to power it at the port of Joal has been completed. At the same time, the NutriAid Team trained 57 port workers on the use, management, and cleaning of the storage unit.
The unit, with a capacity of 50 tons, will be used by all port workers under the supervision of the Quality Laboratory Manager of the port, who is the representative of the Directorate of Fish Processing Industries. It will enable better storage of fish, both in terms of quantity and quality.
"Sardinegal" is funded by the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers with the 8x1000 Irpef quota.
