The "Yessal Napp Gi" project enters its operational phase: in Joal-Fadiouth, the project's steering committee has been established, bringing together the main stakeholders of the local fishing value chain.
Its members include, among others, the departmental fisheries service, the Municipality of Joal-Fadiouth, the National Fisheries Agency, and several local cooperatives, reflecting a participatory approach shared with the community.
The committee will play a strategic role in building a network among public and private entities and non-profit organizations, with the goal of identifying the local labor market's professional needs, promoting internships and job placement pathways, and spreading digital and technical skills among the area's young people.
Through the committee's work, the project aims to create the conditions for a more innovative and sustainable fishing value chain, capable of offering new employment opportunities for the younger generations of Joal-Fadiouth.
The Yessal Napp Gi project is made possible thanks to the support of OTB Foundation.
