📍 Great news from Loul Sessène, where the project dedicated to the health of mothers and children continues to grow.
While construction of the new Pediatrics ward at Near Me Hospital is ongoing, the CREN – Center for Nutritional Rehabilitation and Education, located in the adjacent building, is already fully operational.
A center serving the health of the little ones
At CREN, essential activities take place every day:
- Nutritional assessments of children through measurements, appetite tests, and monitoring of vital signs;
- Treatment of malnutrition, including medical consultations, distribution of supplements, and play activities to support full rehabilitation;
- Nutritional education for mothers, with practical demonstrations on preparing enriched flours—-essential foods that ensure children receive adequate caloric and protein intake.
Towards an integrated healthcare hub
Once construction is completed, the hospital complex will offer a specialized healthcare hub for children, integrating pediatric and nutritional services.
This is an important step toward ensuring quality care and a comprehensive approach to childhood well-being in the region.
