In Joal-Fadiouth, the steering committee of the "Yessal Napp Gi" project is defining three training programs designed to open up new career paths for 150 young people in the area, within the fishing sector that lies at the economic heart of the community.
The training programs will cover three areas: Marketing & Communication, Data Visualisation, and Sustainable Fish Farming.
Through these programs, the project aims to equip young people with new, marketable skills, capable of opening up career opportunities beyond traditional fishing while also strengthening innovation across the entire local value chain.
This initiative, supported by the steering committee that brings together the main stakeholders of the Joal-Fadiouth fishing value chain, is part of a broader vision: building, together with the community, a future in which young people can grow alongside their own territory.
The Yessal Napp Gi project is made possible thanks to the support of OTB Foundation.
